Mr. Torian Billings, Principal
It is my honor to serve the community. I am Torian Billings, the principal of A2 STEAM at Northside. I am excited to lead the staff and meet all of our wonderful students and families. My primary goal is to help our students feel safe and successful at school. I wear many hats but the well-being of our students always drives my work.
During my career, I've had many unique and meaningful teaching and administration opportunities. My journey has taken me to Plymouth-Canton, Lansing, Inkster, and my hometown, Flint. I'm also a proud graduate of Michigan State University (Go Green!). In addition to being an educator, I'm a proud husband and father to two wonderful sons. My family is extremely important to me and I am grateful for their support.
In my role, I look forward to continuing the rich tradition of excellence at A2 STEAM. In 2022, I inherited a talented and unique school with exceptional students. Collaboratively with our wonderful staff, we will continue to create, develop and maintain the culture of learning that has been established. Our vision at A2 STEAM involves collaborating with parents, students, and staff members to create the best learning experience possible. Above all, we will value your student as a learner and as a child. This means celebrating diversity, building social-emotional capacity, and prioritizing physical, emotional, and intellectual safety. A2 STEAM is a school where students will come not only to learn but to be loved.
This school year will provide many opportunities to connect with you and your family. It's my hope that each of you will get to know me in your own special way. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me.
Ms. Sayles
I am happy to continue to serve as the Assistant Principal here at A2 STEAM. I have been a part of this community since 2018. I am excited to continue to provide a high quality education to all the families that we serve by providing an inclusive environment and continuing to build positive relationships with staff and students.
I embrace Edelman’s quote, “Education is for improving the lives of others and for leaving your community and world better than you found it”.
